About Me

Thank you for taking an interest in my horses, I so appreciate you being here and am grateful you've found us!

My name is Chancie Rogers, and I reside in central Texas with my husband, two boys, and an ever-growing pet and livestock population. I originally moved to Texas to pursue my dream of college rodeo and to study animal science and range management. Through college, I found employment on the Lawton Ranch in Louisiana and the Rocker B Ranch in Texas where I furthered my horsemanship, range management, and cattle management skills. Following graduation, life took me down a different path and I began growing my family and my other business (a boutique located on the historic city square of Hillsboro, TX and online at rubyandpearlboutique.com) while continuing to compete on horses I trained. I am a WPRA card holder and multiple 1D barrel racing winner, open rodeo winner, and CPRA rodeo winner.

I hail from a line of ranchers in the great northwest, and grew up ranching with my family across Idaho, Oregon, and Nevada. I probably didn't realize then how blessed I was to be a part of great ranches such as the 7J (my grandpa's ranch), the Eastgate Ranch (my Dad's ranch), and various other ranches my stepfather worked on like the GI Ranch, the Mann Lake Ranch, and the Gardner Ranch.

Growing up in the western way of life fostered my love for horses and the lifestyle at a very young age. Now that I have children of my own, I am even more aware that true cowboys are a dying breed.

My goal with Risen Performance Horses is to protect and preserve the western way of life while promoting the benefits of horsemanship to those who may not otherwise have an opportunity to learn what a blessing horses are to our lives and how they can enrich your own life.

Whether you are purchasing a horse from me or taking lessons with me, I vow to always share every piece of knowledge I have spent a lifetime learning to help you advance your own knowledge base, while I also personally strive to be a lifetime learner myself and continue to pursue an advancement of my own horsemanship knowledge riding with other trainers of various disciplines.

One of my favorite quotes is "never stop learning, for if you do, you stop growing"- I never want to stop growing and while I have so much left to learn, I do have tidbits of knowledge I am passionate about sharing with others not only to help people, but perhaps even more so to help horses through the people that own them.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out and ask. I look forward to working with you!
